most dishonest president since Nixon

He promised to honor and integrity to the White House. Instead, he has brought deep dishonor to our country and built a durable reputation as the most dishonest president since Richard Nixon.

Honor? He decided not to honor the Geneva Convention. Just as he would not honor the United Nations, international treaties, the opinions of our allies, the role of Congress and the courts, or what Jefferson described as decent respect for the opinion of mankind. He did not honor the advice, experience and judgment of our military leaders in designing his invasion of Iraq. And now he will not honor our fallen dead by attending any funerals or even by permitting photos of their flag draped coffins.

How did we get from September 12th, 2001, when a leading French newspaper ran a giant headline with the words Are All Americans Now and when we had the goodwill and empathy of all the world to the horror that we all felt in witnessing the pictures of torture in Abu Ghraib.

To begin with, from its earliest days in power, this administration sought to radically destroy the foreign policy consensus that had guided America since the end of World War II.
discount ray bans right to ignore international law wherever it wished
cheap ray bans to do so and take military action against any nation, even in circumstances where there was no imminent threat. All that is required, in the view of Bush team is the mere assertion of a possible, future threat and the assertion need be made by only one person, the president.

More disturbing still was their frequent use of the word to describe their strategic goal, because an American policy of dominance is as repugnant to the rest of the world as the ugly dominance of the helpless, naked Iraqi prisoners has been to the American people. Dominance is as dominance does.

Dominance is not really a strategic policy or political philosophy at all. It is a seductive illusion that tempts the powerful to satiate their hunger for more power still by striking a Faustian bargain. And as always happens sooner or later to those who shake hands with the devil, they find out too late that what they have given up in the bargain is their soul.

One of the clearest indications of the impending loss of intimacy with one soul is the failure to recognize the existence of a soul in those over whom power is exercised, especially if the helpless come to be treated as animals, and degraded. We also know and not just from De Sade and Freud the psychological proximity between sexual depravity and other people pain. It has been especially shocking and awful to see these paired evils perpetrated so crudely and cruelly in the name of America.

Those pictures of torture and sexual abuse came to us embedded in a wave of news about escalating casualties and growing chaos enveloping our entire policy in Iraq. But in order to understand the failure of our overall policy, it is important to focus specifically on what happened in the Abu Ghraib prison, and ask whether or not those actions were representative of who we are as Americans? Obviously the quick answer is no, but unfortunately it more complicated than that.

There is good and evil in every person. And what makes the United States special in the history of nations is our commitment to the rule of law and our carefully constructed system of checks and balances. Our natural distrust of concentrated power and our devotion to openness and democracy are what have lead us as a people to consistently choose good over evil in our collective aspirations more than the people any other nation.

Our founders were insightful students of human nature. They feared the abuse of power because they understood that every human being has not only angels in his nature, but also an innate vulnerability to temptation especially the temptation to abuse power over others.

Our founders understood full well that a system of checks and balances is needed in our Constitution because every human being lives with an internal system of checks and balances that cannot be relied upon to produce virtue if they are allowed to attain an unhealthy degree of power over their fellow citizens.

Listen then to the balance of internal impulses described by Specialist Charles Graner when confronted by one of his colleagues, Specialist Joseph M. Darby, who later became a courageous whistleblower. When Darby asked him to explain his actions documented in the photos, Graner replied: Christian in me says it wrong, but the Corrections Officer says, love to make a grown man piss on himself.

What happened at the prison, it is now clear, was not the result of random acts by few bad apples, it was the natural consequence of the Bush administration policy that has dismantled those wise constraints and has made war on America checks and balances.

The abuse of the prisoners at Abu Ghraib flowed directly from the abuse of the truth that characterized the administration march to war and the abuse of the trust that had been placed in President Bush by the American people in the aftermath of Sept. 11.

There was then, there is now and there would have been regardless of what Bush did, a threat of terrorism that we would have to deal with. But instead of making it better, he has made it infinitely worse. We are less safe because of his policies. He has created more anger and righteous indignation against us as Americans than any leader of our country in the 228 years of our existence as a nation because of his attitude of contempt for any person, institution or nation who disagrees with him. town and city to a greater danger of attack by terrorists because of his arrogance, willfulness and bungling at stirring up hornet nests that pose no threat whatsoever to us. And by then insulting the religion and culture and tradition of people in other countries. And by pursuing policies that have resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent men, women and children, all of it done in our name. President Bush said in his speech Monday night that the war in Iraq is central front in the war on terror. It not the central front in the war on terror, but it has unfortunately become the central recruiting office for terrorists. [Dick Cheney said, "This war may last the rest of our lives.]

The unpleasant truth is that President Bush utter incompetence has made the world a far more dangerous place and dramatically increased the threat of terrorism against the United States. Just yesterday, the International Institute of Strategic Studies reported that the Iraq conflict arguably focused the energies and resources of al Qaida and its followers while diluting those of the global counterterrorism coalition. The ISS said that in the wake of the war in Iraq al Qaida now has more than 18,000 potential terrorists scattered around the world and the war in Iraq is swelling its ranks.

The war plan was incompetent in its rejection of the advice from military professionals, and the analysis of the intelligence was incompetent in its conclusion that our soldiers would be welcomed with garlands of flowers and cheering crowds. Thus we would not need to respect the so called Powell doctrine of overwhelming force.

There was also in Rumsfeld planning a failure to provide security for nuclear materials, and to prevent widespread lawlessness and looting.

Luckily, there was a high level of competence on the part of our soldiers even though they were denied the tools and the numbers they needed for their mission. What a disgrace that their families have to hold bake sales to buy discarded Kevlar vests to stuff into the floorboards of the Humvees! Bake sales for body armor.

And the worst still lies ahead. Gen. Joseph Hoar, the former head of the Marine Corps, said, believe we are absolutely on the brink of failure. We are looking into the abyss.

When a senior, respected military leader like Joe Hoar
fake ray bans uses the word then the rest of us damn well better listen.

Retired Marine Corps Gen. Anthony Zinni, who headed Central Command before becoming President Bush personal emissary to the Middle East, said recently that our nation current course is over Niagara Falls.

The Commander of the 82nd Airborne Division, Army Maj. Gen. Charles H. Swannack Jr., asked by the Washington Post whether he believes the United States is losing the war in Iraq, replied, think strategically, we are. Army Col. Noting that Vietnam featured a pattern of winning battles while losing the war, Hughes added we ensure that we have coherence in our policy, we will lose strategically.

The White House spokesman Dan Bartlett was asked on live television about these scathing condemnations by generals involved in the highest levels of Pentagon planning and he replied, they retired, and we take our advice from active duty officers.

But amazingly, even active duty military officers are speaking out against President Bush. For example, the Washington Post quoted an unnamed senior general at the Pentagon as saying, current OSD (Office of the Secretary of Defense) refused to listen or adhere to military advice. Rarely if ever in American history have uniformed commanders felt compelled to challenge their commander in chief in public.

The Post also quoted an unnamed general as saying, a lot of senior Army guys I quite angry with Rumsfeld and the rest of the Bush administration. He listed two reasons. think they are going to break the Army, he said, adding that what really incites him is don think they care.

In his upcoming book, Zinni blames the current catastrophe
cheap ray bans on the Bush team incompetence early on. the lead up to the Iraq war, and its later conduct, he writes, saw at a minimum, true dereliction, negligence and irresponsibility, at worst, lying, incompetence and corruption.

Zinni book will join a growing library of volumes by former advisors to Bush including his principal advisor on terrorism, Richard Clarke; his principal economic policy advisor, former Treasury Secretary Paul O former Ambassador Joe Wilson, who was honored by Bush father for his service in Iraq, and his former domestic advisor on faith based organizations, John Dilulio, who said, is no precedent in any modern White House for what is going on in this one: a complete lack of a policy apparatus. What you got is everything, and I mean everything, run by the political arm. It the reign of the Mayberry Machiavellis.Articles Connexes:

DFAT’s high flyers reap promotion bonanza

More public service news

Senior staff at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade enjoyed a promotions bonanza in recent weeks as the elite agency boosted the ranks of its senior executive service by about 10 per cent. The Public Service Commission declared it was business as usual in the distribution of top jobs.

DFAT elevated the lucky 26 officials into its upper ranks, mostly from executive
Michael kors handbags outlet level 2 roles, in April in one of the largest mass promotions seen in the cash strapped service in recent years. All of the staff were granted SES band 1 status.

Strict caps have been imposed on the number of highly paid senior executives in the public service since 2010, after their numbers exploded by 50 per cent in just seven years.

But the Public Service Commission, which polices the cap, confirmed that the mass promotion at DFAT was not a signal that the regime was weakening.

"DFAT’s recruitment activity has been managed within the senior executive service cap for the agency," a commission spokeswoman please.

"There are no current plans to remove the cap before the end of 2016."

A spokeswoman for DFAT said that recent upheavals, departures and the opening of five new overseas posts had created the openings for the new senior executives.

"The department has long used bulk promotion rounds to fill vacancies to manage mobility within Canberra and at overseas posts," she said.

"To fill existing vacancies, DFAT recently promoted a number of officers from EL2 to SES band 1 level.

"These promotions followed a period of change, including
cheap Michael Kors handbags the AusAID DFAT integration, separations from the department and the expansion of DFAT’s agenda with the opening of five new posts.

"The total number of SES officers in DFAT is in line with a cap agreed by the [Public Service Commission]."

The department did not answer questions about how the gaps in its EL2 ranks would be filled.

DFAT’s new crop bosses will be the envy of other departments where the time spent waiting for a promotion has grown by more than six months in the space of just one year.

A mid ranking departmental official could expect to wait 5
cheap Michael Kors handbags outlet years before taking their next step up the career ladder, according to the commission’s 2013 14 figures, up from 4.9 years the previous year. Five years
Michael Kors handbags ago, the median time spent on each classification was just 3.2 years.

The careers slow down was also hitting the executive ranks: the median "length at level"
fake Michael Kors for the senior executive service was 5 years at June 2014, up from
fake Michael Kors five years in 2013.

For junior and middle managers at executive level, it was 5.8 years, up from 5.2 years in 2013. Five years ago, the median length at level for SES and ELs was 3.6 years.

A quick correction

6 Hit Songs You Won’t Believe Are Insulting Celebrities

Music tends to be a "names changed to protect the innocent" kind of business. That’s why it’s so easy to miss that some of the most famous songs in history were written as direct insults to actual people. The following songs take on a whole new meaning
Michael Kors handbags outlet once you realize .

6. "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" Is About Steven Tyler Hitting on Vince Neil

We know what you’re thinking
michael kors handbags outlet what’s insulting about this song? It’s Steven Tyler’s tender ode to a cross dressing paramour. Good for him for being so open about it in the notoriously close minded and forbidding mid ’80s, when such things were still taboo even though every
fake Michael Kors damn dude on MTV looked like a woman.

And that’s exactly how the confusion started.

SGranitz / WireImage / Getty

Tyler was actually the third manliest musician on TV during the ’80s.

The story goes that Steven Tyler and Joe Perry were hitting the bars in their pre sobriety days, so let the meaning of that "Cruising to a bar on the shore" line be a mystery no longer. During their night out, Tyler spotted a beautiful woman and, even though she was facing away from him, fell instantly in love. He was getting all
cheap Michael Kors set to lay his swollen rodent charm on her when she turned around and . she wasn’t a she at all, but famously pretty Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil.

Hanging out with the band after the incident and listening to their limited vocabulary gave Tyler the inspiration he needed to put words to the hook that had been knocking around in his head, which became the familiar "That, that, dude looks like a lady!"

Larry Marano / Hulton / Getty

OK, yeah. We get it.

Neil was so embarrassed about it that he denied the story for years, claiming it was about a night with Tyler at a drag bar, because that’s way less embarrassing. He eventually came clean, though, admitting in his autobiography that, yeah, Steven Tyler wanted that ass.

Let us be thankful that the only result of this mix up was one of Aerosmith’s less terrible late era songs and not one of those sex tapes that Vince Neil used to be so fond of making.

Ebet Roberts / Redferns / Getty

Incredibly, this is not a screengrab from one of those tapes.

5. The Only Feel Good Oasis Song Is About Kurt Cobain’s Depression

Photoshot / Hulton Archive / Getty

Back in the halcyon days of the ’90s, when misery was in and hygiene was decidedly out, appropriately named Oasis had one of their first hits with the uncharacteristically positive "Live Forever." It was a refreshing departure from the otherwise angst ridden airwaves, with lyrics about the joy of living, picking yourself up, finding meaning, and "just want[ing] to fly."

An urge well known to most people born in the United Kingdom.

Of course, if you’re at all familiar with the bratty, foul mouthed antics of the fraternal backbone of Oasis, Liam and Noel Gallagher, you know it’s also quite a departure from their usual brand of surliness, so there had to be a catch.

Indeed, Noel had taken
replica Michael Kors handbags an issue with this douchebag who was making quite a name for himself with his dirty, pessimistic little songs Kurt Cobain, maybe you’ve heard of him? In an impressive display of completely misunderstanding what depression is and how it works, Noel decided that Kurt was taking his incredible success and life in general for granted. After all, Noel had less than he did, and he was still happy to wake up every day, so what was this asshole’s problem? He wrote the song in 1991 as a way of telling Cobain,
replica Michael Kors outlet "Hey, life is pretty cool, buck the fuck up."

KMazur / WireImage / Getty

"How can a man with sweaters so large be so sad?"

Obviously it didn’t work, which could
replica Michael Kors outlet be blamed on a few different factors. For one, having a Gallagher brother tell you to stop being so grumpy is like the comic Gallagher telling you to stop being
cheap Michael kors handbags outlet so rough with fruit (or to stop being racist). It’s easy to see how someone might blow off a "Do as I say, not as I do" suggestion like that one.

Possibly playing a larger role in the communication breakdown that kept Noel Gallagher’s life saving advice from reaching its intended target (Kurt Cobain’s head) was the fact that by the time the song was released it was August 1994, which eagle eyed readers will note is the year that Kurt’s suffocating depression (or wife) finally did him in. Probably would have been better to have just sent him a letter or something.Articles Connexes:

Online Exclusive

Today is Father’s Day. This is a day to honour fathers and celebrate fatherhood, paternal bonds and influences fathers have in society.

Although such celebrations may be considered commercialised, being a father myself, today is a day to reflect on the inspiration and impact my dad had on my life.

Despite starting his life as a bicycle merchant, Dad was a magnanimous man who was generous and selfless ensuring that me and my three siblings had the best education in life.

He
cheap Michael Kors handbags may not have had enough money to ensure a comfortable life for us, but he certainly had unlimited love to give us. Sadly, his life was shortened by liver cancer.

I am often moved by many tributes people make on Father’s Day about the influences their dad had on them.

Wade Boggs, a legendary baseball player for both the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees once said to his father; "Anyone can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a dad, and that’s why I call you Dad, because you are so special to me. You taught me the game and taught me how to play it right."

Indeed, Dad instilled values in me and taught me how to be a father myself.

Like many of us, dot com entrepreneur Naveen Jain said fatherhood had changed
Michael kors handbags outlet his life to make him a better person.

"Being a father has been without a doubt, my greatest achievement, pride and inspiration. Fatherhood has
Cheap Michael Kors handbags taught me about unconditional love, reinforced the importance of giving
fake Michael kors handbags outlet back and taught me how to be a better person," he said.

Indeed, parenthood had made me a better person. I am a proud father who is constantly aspiring to be a better by giving my time, resources and energy to nurture my children.

Although it has not been easy being a father of two teenagers in today’s society, I often think to myself; "Do I have enough time or resources to raise more children?" This is exactly the topic we are tackling for David on this Father’s Day.

Thank you so
Michael kors handbags outlet much for answering my email. I really appreciate it.

I am a father of two children aged eight and ten. Although parenthood has been amazing and changed my life, my wife and I both have decided that we do not have the means to have more children.

I think times have changed, compared to our parent’s time when having more children was fashionable. It has become impossible in modern society to raise more children when we don’t have enough time and money to raise more kids properly. Everyone is simply too busy and the money is insufficient.

My wife and I are considering sterilisation as a form of contraception, and would like to get your advice.

Is it better for my wife to have
Michael Kors handbags tubal ligation or for me to get a vasectomy?

How effective are these? What are the risks? Will it change our sex life in the future?

As we are both in our early thirties now, can we reverse the sterilisation later when we are financially more stable?

Sterilisation is a permanent form of birth control that is extremely effective at preventing pregnancy. Both men and women can be sterilised.

For women, a tubal ligation is performed, and for men, a vasectomy.

Tubal ligation is
cheap Michael Kors the surgery that is done to tie the fallopian tube of a woman, preventing the transportation of egg to the uterus.

Such birth control is normally done as keyhole surgery under general anaesthesia, and is the most common from of contraception in the United States. Tubal ligation is nearly 100% effective, but reversal is extremely difficult.

A vasectomy, on the other hand, is the male version of tubal ligation.

It is generally considered simpler, safer and less painful compared to tubal ligation, where a vasectomy is usually done in the clinic under local anaesthesia.

The intervention involves making a small incision on the scrotum to allow cutting and blocking of the vas deferens, which transports sperms out of the testes.

This minor surgery is also nearly 100% effective and does not affect the man’s ability to achieve erection, orgasm or ejaculate. There will still be ejaculatory fluid with no sperm in
fake Michael kors handbags outlet it.

Although complications such as swelling, bruising and infection may occur after vasectomy, they are relatively uncommon and almost never serious.

Although the reversal of vasectomy is commonly performed, the procedure can be complicated, expensive and not always successful.

Some men also consider storing semen in the sperm bank to preserve the possibility of pregnancy in the future.Articles Connexes:

Canberra Capitals’ Abby Bishop shows off the new ‘mascot’

Zala Kate Bishop is the five month
cheap Michael Kors old baby girl the Canberra Capitals WNBL team has adopted as its own.

Australian Opals and Capitals star Abby Bishop took custody of her niece in August last year, when Zala was just two days old.

She lies in a pram beside the court as the Capitals train, she travels with them to every WNBL match across the country and she is a comforting cuddle after every loss for the players who adore her.

"It was a spur of the moment thing, one week I was a normal 25 year old and the next week I had a baby. There was no pregnancy, so people were a bit surprised.

"From the moment we left the hospital I felt like she was mine and as time’s gone on
cheap Michael Kors it’s been stronger.

"Obviously my life has changed, but all in a good way. It’s put basketball and life into perspective.

"I know I didn’t give birth to this little thing, but I still see her as one of
Michael Kors handbags my own. Now she’s the Capitals’ mascot, too."

Bishop was in Darwin for her niece’s birth in August last year.

Two days later, Bishop named Zala or "Zdog" as she known at the Capitals and the pair flew to Canberra. It was the first of many flights for Zala.

Her five months has already included Canberra’s taxing eight game, 37 day, 10,500 kilometre trip around Australia.

Zala was there for every match and she will be in the stands again as the Capitals take on the
Michael Kors discounts Melbourne Boomers on Saturday and the Dandenong Rangers on Sunday.

There are athlete mums spread through the WNBL and female sport, but Bishop’s situation is unique.

In the past five months she’s been on a rapid journey from international basketballer to 25 year old mother.

Her sister agreed to have Bishop look after Zala.

They are in regular contact about Zala’s life, sharing photos, videos and video phone calls to share Zala’s growth and changes.

Despite skipping the nine month pregnancy, Bishop, a 2012 Olympian, has embraced her overnight single mum status.

The lifestyle change and sleepless nights took their toll at the start Bishop admits she was stressed and lost weight.

But she has recovered and plans to have children of her own in the future.

"They do say you get a mother’s instinct when
fake Michael Kors you’re pregnant. I used to be a nanny," Bishop grins.

"I’ve always loved kids, and the switch just goes on. Even though I didn’t carry Zala for nine months, the switch did go on for me.

"Plus, Google is great as well. She’s been a really good baby."

Zala has become the Capitals’ "team baby" and mascot, joining the players on gruelling road trips, heartbreaking defeats and unexpected wins on a rollercoaster campaign.

Bishop’s boyfriend lives in Wollongong, her mum is based in rural Queensland and her sister is in Darwin.

It means Zala sits in her pram at the Belconnen Basketball Stadium when
cheap michael kors the Capitals train.

If she gets restless, coach Carrie Graf, a new mother to twins born by IVF, steps in as babysitter and perches Zala on her shoulder while barking orders on the court.

When the Capitals are on the road, relatives and friends of teammates or opponents take Zala during the game.

Ten minutes after the match, Bishop is back in control.

"The one thing about Abby is she’s got a
michael kors handbags outlet can do attitude. She battled on, sucked it up and is now a single parent," Graf

6 Terrifying Things Nobody Tells You About Donating Sperm

To a young guy with not much money, sperm donation seems too good to be true. It pays well (as we’ve pointed out before) and requires you to do nothing more than what you’d be doing anyway. And if you happen to help a childless couple along the way, that’s just icing on the cake.

Having actually been a sperm donor, I can say that you had better be prepared for a long haul. There are a lot of (horrifying) hoops to jump through, and then sperm banks expect you to masturbate like . well, like it’s your job.

Sperm donation is a textbook example of a buyer’s market; thousands of compulsively masturbating dudes are jockeying to impregnate a slim number of eggs. To even be considered, you and your sperm have to meet their criteria."They scored well on taste and color, but we’re concerned about their performance at the 100 meter dash."

You obviously must be male (or a very talented female), usually between 18 and 35, and live within an hour’s drive of the sperm bank.

Also, you need to have a high school degree or better. The bank I went to required that you at least be enrolled in college, if not already a college graduate. Some banks request that you pursue a graduate degree because they can then charge an extra premium for PhD sperm. If you happen to be from an Ivy League school, even better.

You generally have to be white, as most sperm recipients are white couples. You must be in shape, since who wants a fatty for a kid (and if your fatness isn’t genetic, your laziness might be)?"I trained well for this golden opportunity."

Some banks even set restrictions on hair and
cheap Michael Kors eye color; the world’s largest sperm bank recently stopped accepting sperm from redheads because nobody wants a goddamn carrot top, and their stockpile of ginger jizz was going to waste. In
replica Michael Kors handbags essence, you need to be a tall, dark and handsome Vitruvian Man from a good school
Michael Kors discounts . who still has wound up in a position where, in order to make ends meet, he must masturbate for money.

5. They Will Need to Know Everything About You (and Your Family)

OK, so it’s understandable that parents want a good looking kid. Hell, they’re dropping upwards of $41,000 per baby, so this better be the damn Cadillac of babies. Naturally, to ensure only the highest grade human, the next step is to complete a medical history
replica Michael Kors handbags form.

Who knew the stork would be so picky?

If you’ve ever donated blood, you’re already somewhat familiar with the process. In addition to the standard battery of health questions, you also need ensure you’ve never had sex with a man from Africa since 1977 for money or drugs or shared a bus seat with anyone who has. But after that, the medical
cheap michael kors questionnaire quickly becomes less of a standard health form and more of detailed catalog of every runny nose and weird rash that you or any member of your extended family has had.

In keeping with the practice of only taking the best of the best, there are 50 or so disqualifying conditions (again, depending on the bank), and something
michael kors handbags outlet as minor as a food allergy can knock you out of the running. That’s the kind of moral they don’t teach in Highlights.

If you’re still thinking this doesn’t sound too difficult, realize that by submitting the form, you’ve given them carte blanche to interrogate you on the most intimate details of your life. If your medical history is decent, they give you a follow up call to ask a few questions, so you have to be ready to explain any anomalous conditions or deaths in your family tree."Demanding satisfaction runs in his family. That’s a black mark."

I had an uncle who died at a relatively young age in a workplace accident and I was asked to produce a newspaper article or obituary verifying my claim. I also
cheap Michael Kors had one set of grandparents who both died in their late sixties from heart attacks, which naturally was a cause for concern.Articles Connexes:

The Citroen Berlingo Multispace is a van based MPV with sliding doors and a hugely roomy interior. It shares its platform with the Peugeot Partner Tepee, can hold up to seven people, and has room for up to 3,000 litres of luggage with the rear seats removed. It’s certainly not the most stylish car,
fake Michael kors handbags outlet but as a practical, good value and cheap to run MPV, it’s more than up to the job. There’s a range of punchy diesel engines, as well as a single petrol option along with a choice of manual and automatic gearboxes. Our pick would be the BlueHDi
replica Michael Kors handbags 100, as it’s cheap to run and the only version available with seven seats. The top spec XTR comes with raised suspension, body cladding and Grip Control for optimum performance on mud, sand and snow. Lesser Touch, Feel and Feel Edition cars are also available, though none are particularly well equipped. You’ll need to opt for the Feel model to get air con, while only the top Feel Edition and XTR cars get alloy wheels. Bluetooth isn’t even an option on basic Touch and Feel models, but comes as standard higher up the range. Top spec cars come with a seven inch touchscreen, while Mirror Screen technology will be available from November 2015.Our choice:Berlingo Multispace BlueHDi 100 FeelSee our sister site Carbuyer’s video verdict on the older model below. No matter how you look at it, there’s

wholesale Michael Kors handbags outlet the Berlingo Multispace’s commercial vehicle roots. It looks like a van from the outside, with its sliding doors, upright profile and high roofline, while inside the tall driving position and versatile interior all hint at the Berlingo’s previous life.Modern MPVs like the Ford C MAX and Citroen’s very own C4 Picasso are more ergonomically designed, with a more car like driving position and logically calculated dash. The Berlingo won’t win any beauty contests, but as a functional, versatile people carrier, not much beats it.There’s
replica Michael Kors outlet a range of punchy diesel engines to choose from, with all offering a good blend of low down torque and decent economy. We’d steer clear of the entry level petrol, but any of the diesels are worth a punt.If economy is key, go for one of the S (stop start) enabled BlueHDi 100 models, but if you value performance, then the quickest car is the BlueHDi 120. It’ll do 0 62mph in 11.4 seconds and hit 109mph flat out. It’s no sports car, but it’ll keep up with traffic both in and out of town. All cars get ABS and ESC, as well as hill hold
fake Michael Kors control and tyre pressure sensors. Unfortunately, only two airbags are standard on basic cars, while top spec XTR models get front lateral airbags too. Curtain airbags are
Michael Kors handbags optional on some models so check before you buy.On the plus side, the Berlingo did manage to score a commendable four star Euro NCAP rating, though it was tested a while ago now and the tests have become more stringent.Citroen finished a disappointing 20th in the 2015 Driver Power survey, but that was a six place climb on its 2014 result, so things are looking up. Owners rank running costs as a positive, but build quality, performance, road handling and ease of driving are all areas for improvement. There’s little to match the boxy Citroen when it comes to value for money. There’s only one petrol engine, but that’s fine, as the diesels are the
Michael Kors handbags engines to go for.The BlueHDi 100 will return 65.7mpg and emit 113g/km of CO2, or 68.9mpg and 109g/km if you choose the S stop start model. That makes it the most economical Berlingo Multispace regardless of whether you pick the manual of ETG6 automatic.Go for the most powerful BlueHDi 120 and economy will slip but only slightly to 64.2mpg/115g/km. It’s a small price to pay if you want maximum performance.Articles Connexes:
